Policies

For the Tipis or Guest Rooms. For confirmed reservations of three days or less, your deposit will be refunded, less a $25.00 cancellation fee. For confirmed reservations of more than a three-day stay, one full-night stay plus tax will be charged to your card. If you do not check-in for your confirmed reservation or give less than a 48-hour notice, the full amount of your stay plus amenities and tax will be charged to your card.

For the Hostel. If you do not check in for your confirmed reservation or give less than a 48-hour notice, you will be charged the full amount of your stay plus tax.

For Hot Springs Package. A non-refundable $25.00 deposit is required to secure your reservation for your private pool.

General Policies

Checking in and out. Our Office is at 2001 Old Spanish Trail Highway in Tecopa, California. This is where to check-in for the hostel, guest rooms and tipis. Our office is open from 3 pm to 8 pm. Check-out is 1 pm for the guestrooms and tipis. Check-out is 11 am for the hostel.

Smoking. Cynthia's is a non-smoking facility according to California law. There are, however, smoking areas outside the buildings.

Pets. We love dogs and cats, but they are not allowed in the hostel, guest rooms or tipis. Bona fide guide dogs are, of course, the exception.

Weather. You will be coming deep into the Mojave Desert. Sometimes we have weather-related power outages, high winds and dust storms. Once you have checked into our facility and these conditions occur, they will not result in a refund of your stay. Instead we all hunker down and weather it together.

Flooding. If flash flooding occurs during your stay and highways are closed for public safety, your travel plans can be delayed briefly. If this occurs and you need to extend your stay, you will be charged the standard rates.

Right to refuse. This is a family-owned and operated business. It is also our home. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone
